Our wide range of hacksaws and blades are perfect for resizing a variety of materials commonly used in tiling projects, such as aluminium expansion joints, copper pipes and plastic trim pieces. If you’ve been in the tiling industry a while, you’ll certainly know how useful a quality hacksaw is to speed up the installation process.
Our hacksaws are predominantly used for cutting a wide range of materials such as copper, aluminium, carbon, steel and plastic. While these are not necessarily designed to cut tiles themselves, they are good for cutting down metal tile trims, aluminium expansion joints, plastic trim pieces and copper pipes - all of which make frequent parts of the installation process.
If you’re looking for something that can make small adjustments to tiles, our tile nippers are great for projects such as mosaic patterns. Alternatively, our Beava Supreme Cutting Blades are perfect for making clean cuts on strong materials such as porcelain.
Hacksaw blades can cut a wide range of materials, including aluminium, copper, carbon steel and hard plastic. The sharp blades allow for very precise cutting, allowing for seamless tile installations.
Swapping your hacksaw blade is a lot easier than you think. You’ll know that your hacksaw is time for a change with the clear sign that it no longer cuts efficiently, and there could be some other visible signs such as it being warped or cracked.
To loosen or tighten the blade, simply twist the knob of the handle and loosen the pins. Once loose, pull the old blade off the frame and insert the new one (ensure the teeth are facing away from the handle). Tighten the handle again clockwise until you feel it resisting, and ensure that the pins are fully poked through the holes on both ends of the blade before it’s completely tight.
Yes! Our hacksaws can cut metals such as copper and aluminium. This is particularly useful for cutting expansion joints, copper pipes, plastic border trims that need to be adjusted to the needs of the room layout or tile installation.
